QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or NT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the oversight of a security program for an organization. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. *This is a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position and requires DoD certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed timeframes. Certification required: Antiterrorism Credential, Security Asset Protection Professional Certification, and Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.
Major DutiesYou will assist the Security Director in the management and oversight of the Command Security and Force Protection Programs.You will coordinate with NCIS and other Naval Commands.You will provide actionable advice to leadership on Operations, Physical, Information, Personnel, Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives, and Industrial Security.You will oversee foreign travel and Anti-Terrorism program for the command.You will utilize expert knowledge of emergency management programs and procedures, and risk mitigation techniques, protocols, and procedures as required.
