No Offer Description We are looking for a highly ambitious and enthusiastic PhD candidate who is eager to join our lab. This position focuses on the use and development of human brain organoids, with the overarching goal to understand mechanisms of human brain development and disease, and to unravel the link between the two. Research focus We welcome candidates with a strong interest in developmental biology, organoid technology, and disease modelling. This position is part of the EU-funded Marie Curie doctoral network (VISI-ON-BRAIN) that connects different countries with the overarching aim to develop cutting-edge human in vitro and in silico biomedical tools to better understand the biology of brain disease/disorders (see: https://visi-on-brain.eu /). You will employ techniques such as organoid cultures (pluripotent stem cell and tissue-derived), transcriptomic analyses, CRISPR-Cas engineering, and other state-of-the-art tools. Your qualifications We are looking for candidates that have completed their Master education and have strong theoretical and wet lab experience, including cell culture and basic molecular techniques. Experience with organoid culture and bioinformatic tools is a pro, but not necessarily.
