Key Responsibilities
Perform high‑complexity HLA testing, including:HLA typing (NGS, SSP, RT‑PCR platforms)HLA antibody screening and identification (FlowPRA, Luminex, SAB)Virtual and physical crossmatchesAnalyze, interpret, and document HLA test results in accordance with ASHI standardsPrepare and process clinical and donor specimens (whole blood, serum, DNA, tissues)Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized HLA instruments such as:Luminex platformsNGS sequencersqPCR / amplification instrumentsFlow cytometersPerform quality control (QC), proficiency testing (PT), and maintain accurate documentationAssist with assay validations, method comparisons, and lot‑to‑lot verificationsParticipate in workflow improvement, troubleshooting, and CAPA activitiesCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clinical partnersSupport training of new staff as neededParticipate in rotational On-Call duties during weekends and holidays Minimum Qualifications
California CLS License or California CHS LicensePreferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience in an ASHI‑accredited HLA laboratoryFamiliarity with HLA testing workflows, including:HLA typingFlow cytometry crossmatchesLuminex platforms (One Lambda)Experience performing and interpreting SAB assaysUnderstanding of virtual crossmatching and transplant matching algorithmsExperience with LIMS/LIS systems commonly used in HLA labsExperience with method validations or data review Compensation:
$46-$63/hourSchedule:
Full Time, Day Shift, five 8-hour shifts, Tuesday–Saturday OR four 10-hours shifts, Wednesday-SaturdayWhat we offer:
