Job title: CAS Global Staff Scientist Location: Devon PA At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. The role:
As a CAS Global Staff Scientist, you will help drive our goals by:
• Leading IDEA and EVALUATE phase NPI workstreams aligned to CAS strategy and business objectives. • Designing and delivering research programmes to develop new catalysts, materials and emission control technologies. • Managing project budgets, milestones, risks and phase reviews while ensuring effective stakeholder communication. • Building strong partnerships across global development hubs, commercial teams, business development and operations. • Supporting customer engagement through technical presentations, training and advanced catalyst system design guidance. • Contributing to external collaborations, including university research programmes and future technology opportunities. Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, ElectroChemistry, Electro Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience. • Strong technical expertise in heterogeneous catalysis. • Hands-on experience in catalyst preparation, catalytic reaction testing and material characterisation. • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Strong planning and organisational capabilities, with experience managing complex research projects. • Self-motivated approach with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and multicultural teams.
