Electrical Technician Location: Wayne, PA At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As an Electrician, you'll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.
The role:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and inspect electrical equipment across production operations to support safe and reliable performance.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, specifications and technical drawings to diagnose faults and determine repair requirements.
• Install, test and commission electrical systems, conduit, controls, fixtures and associated equipment.
• Use PLC interfaces and diagnostic tools to identify equipment issues on computer-controlled systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, power distribution systems, control panels, drives and related components.
• Follow electrical codes, safety procedures and hazardous waste requirements while minimizing disruption to operations.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
• High school diploma and electrical trade school certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical principles, wiring methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience working with industrial electrical equipment, drives, control systems and power distribution assets.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
• Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
