About this role
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for providing specialized patient care within both invasive and non-invasive cardiac services, focusing on the management and operation of cardiovascular technology. The role involves a blend of direct patient care, equipment management, and administrative duties to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and the safety of patients undergoing various cardiac procedures. JOB DESCRIPTION ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT
• Ensure adherence to the hospital’s vision, mission, and nursing care standards
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as ECG, echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, holter monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
• Interpret ECG results and detect abnormalities
• Assess the patient's condition and compare with diagnostic reports
• Report abnormal findings to the relevant cardiologist or physician immediately
• Discuss procedural details and special preferences with the cardiologist or physician before any procedure
• Check and ensure correct billing for services rendered
• Inform Unit Manager or Chief Nursing Officer when changes occur that affect the standard of care
• Maintain effective communication with all disciplines, patients, and relatives
• Assist other departments requiring specialized technical assistance
• Ensure cleanliness of the department and prepare for the next patient.
• Document all cases accurately in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Record Book
• Assist in transporting patients before and after cardiac procedures
• Attend and participate in unit meetings, dialogue sessions, and hospital activities
• Provide feedback to the Unit Manager or Chief Nursing Officer after assignments
• Participate in planning, developing, and evaluating Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory services
JOB REQUIREMENT Education:
Knowledge and Experiences:
· Registered with Medical Assistant Board of Malaysia with valid license to practice as a Medical Assistant.
Skills & Competencies: · 3 years’ experience with Post Basic certificate in Cardiovascular Technology · Bachelor’s in nursing or relevant post graduate qualification.
Special skills required
· Fluency and comprehensive in written and spoken English.
· Microsoft office literacy

Education:
· Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse
· Post Basic qualification in a related field
