Senior Sales Executive for New Machines for the Bakery market Responsibilities / Tasks
• Develop relationships with new customers and retain existing ones through visits, online meetings, trade fairs, and seminars.
• Conduct preliminary technical evaluation of leads and sales opportunities and discuss them with the Business Line (Europe) and the Sales Support Department.
• Complete technical questionnaires (when applicable) to support lead discussions with the above departments.
• Screen quotes/projects, including a critical analysis of project win probability and GEA’s chances, considering technical and commercial feasibility, customer history, budget, competitiveness, future potential, availability of internal resources, and definition of the supply scope.
• Consistently use the CRM system to record and update all relevant information.
• Perform commercial evaluation of customer tenders (RFPs, RFQs, and bids), coordinating technical aspects with the Business Line (Europe).
• Define pricing, margins, and risk assessment in coordination with Sales Management.
• Prepare commercial proposals.
• Define performance parameters for projects under negotiation with customers, in cooperation with BU Headquarters Support.
• Ensure active and ongoing follow-up of submitted proposals.
• Act as an interface in contractual and legal discussions with customers, supported by the Legal Department.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and execute contract signing.
• Provide internal reporting (ongoing projects, wins, and losses under direct responsibility) using the CRM system.
• Participate in trade fairs and business seminars.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure project profitability during negotiations, in alignment with the agreed targets set with the Sales Manager.
Your Profile / Qualifications Qualifications: The Sales Executive for the PFA (Pharma & Food Technologies) division should hold a degree in Engineering (Chemical, Food, Agricultural, or Mechanical Engineering) or a Technology-related qualification. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial/sales role is required. Advanced English proficiency is mandatory.

Preferred Qualification: Knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment, particularly in the confectionery and bakery industries.
