The Team We currently have two exciting opportunities available within our Controls Excellence team:
• Permanent Full-Time Analyst position, replacing a team member who has recently progressed through an internal promotion. • 12-Month Max-Term Contract / Secondment Analyst opportunity, providing exposure to a broad range of risk and controls initiatives across Business Banking. The Business Banking Central Controls Office (CCO) focus is on driving simpler and better risk and regulatory outcomes through provision of transparency, consistency and insight to our Business Banking divisions. We do this through robust Governance practices, the application of Frameworks and Policy in a consistent manner across BB and via centres of excellence where specialised resources are required for targeted risk focus areas. The Controls Excellence function in the BB CCO is responsible for supporting all Lines of Business in improving the strength of our control environment, through automation and rigorous testing. The Controls Assurance team is responsible for ensuring that we have a current and accurate view of the health of our control environment by performing control testing on behalf of the business. Do work that matters This role will support the BB CCO Controls Excellence Team to increase the strength and efficiency of BB’s control environment through control testing, automation, rationalisation and continuous monitoring. As trusted partners of Business Banking, we will collaboratively find innovative solutions to drive the most efficient controls environment across BB.
Your Impact Working with our Manager Risk and Control Advisory and Delivery, as an Analyst you’ll be responsible for:
• Conduct design and operating effectiveness testing in line with the Group’s Controls Assessment Program (CAP)
• Assist in planning and scheduling the controls testing program to ensure accurate representation of Business Banking Risk Profiles
• Recommend, design, and build fit-for-purpose controls to uplift the risk and controls environment
• Monitor and resolve data quality exceptions related to controls
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
• Experience in banking, financial services, or operational risk management (Business Banking or Big 4 experience highly regarded)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to think critically and analytically
• A data-driven approach to problem solving and risk identification
• The ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organisation
