Salary: £50,000 - 66,000 per year
Requirements: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, and technical operations roles.Experience supporting multi-site environments within retail, fashion, logistics/supply chain, or fast-paced hospitality brands.Expert understanding of physical retail technology stacks, including POS ecosystems, network payment routing, mobile registers, and store-wide WiFi deployment.Proven experience collaborating with external 3PL logistics operators to set up network configurations, firewalls, IP whitelisting, and specialized warehouse devices.Strong knowledge of endpoint management through Microsoft Intune/MDM solutions and user access lifecycles within Entra ID (Azure AD).Direct exposure to managing network prerequisites for SAP integration feeds, document printing routing, and stable system-to-system connections.Desirable certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365/Intune certifications, or ITIL foundational framework knowledge. Responsibilities: Lead and execute end-to-end technical infrastructure setup for new store openings, refits, relocations, and brand pop-ups across Europe.Configure and deploy POS hardware, network printers, scanners, mobile tablets, and payment terminals.Deploy and optimize local in-store networks, including retail WiFi, localized LAN environments, and secure SD-WAN configurations.Serve as the final escalation point for in-store technology failures and proactively troubleshoot device, data feed, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime.Act as the primary technical point of contact during 3PL partner onboarding, warehouse moves, and facility expansions.Establish and maintain secure, high-availability VPN tunnels and SD-WAN routing paths between our core network and external 3PL environments.Configure and manage warehouse hardware, including RF guns, industrial handheld scanners, barcode label printers, and dedicated logistics VLANs.Manage firewall rules, routing rules, and IP whitelisting to ensure 3PL integrations align with our cybersecurity frameworks.Oversee and scale EMEA-wide network routing, switching, firewalls, and enterprise identity management systems.Manage infrastructure prerequisites that support our SAP-centric strategy, including network print routing, RFC endpoints, secure connectivity paths, and POS-to-ERP transaction queues.Partner with global architecture teams to ensure European implementations conform to standard global design baselines.Enforce corporate cybersecurity standards across endpoints using Entra ID/Azure AD and Microsoft Intune/MDM.Monitor, identify, and remediate environment vulnerabilities, support penetration testing schedules, deploy MFA, and maintain device encryption policies.Ensure localized retail systems and warehouse practices comply with GDPR, ITGC, and corporate data breach prevention playbooks.Manage daily IT infrastructure across EMEA offices and showrooms, including Windows and MacOS hardware lifecycles, M365 systems, conferencing technology, and onboarding/offboarding workflows.Manage local and regional hardware vendors, telecom partners, field support agencies, and POS providers, holding them accountable to ServiceNow resolution timelines.Build and update IT asset registers, infrastructure configurations, store deployment playbooks, and troubleshooting runbooks. We are Global Retail Company, offering a 1-year fixed-term Infrastructure Specialist role based in London on a hybrid working basis. The role comes with a salary of 50,000 to 60,000 GBP plus a 10% bonus. We operate across Europe and work closely with global architecture teams, supporting retail, warehouse, office, and enterprise infrastructure across a multi-site environment.
