Requirements: Strong data governance and data controls experience.At least 3-4 similar discovery or review engagements.Hands-on experience with data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and control design.Financial services experience.Ability to work across business, technology, risk, and compliance teams.Strong stakeholder management and report-writing skills.Mortgage, lending, or credit experience is desirable.Experience with legacy or Microsoft-based environments is desirable.Experience shaping remediation roadmaps is desirable. We are supporting a mortgage provider on an 8-week discovery engagement for an experienced Data Governance & Controls Consultant. We will assess the current data governance and controls environment across core mortgage, data, insight, and credit-modelling systems, identify gaps and risks, and produce a prioritised remediation plan. There may be a follow-on implementation phase subject to client approval.
