About this role

Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Internal transport department provide and monitor a range of essential transport and car parking services across all the Trust sites and within the local communities.

The Estates Directorate and Transport Department is currently looking to appoint a Transport Coordinator Officer to complement the existing team tasked with the knowledge and awareness of the various service requirements associated with Internal transport services across the Trust sites.

Providing internal transport and car parking services that are accessible to the following

Secondary Care providers - DRI, BDGH,MMH Primary care providers - NHS Doncaster GP surgeries Local Authority/Social Services Other Authorised Clinicians Commissioners

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support with the delivery of an efficient, safe and reliable internal transport and car parking service to all users across the Trusts sites

A polite, courteous and friendly approach to work is essential along with the ability to communicate well with others at differing levels within the organisation. High regard for quality and attention to detail with a flexible approach to the operation of the departments services.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Experience Essential

Customer/client focussed role. Use of PC and keyboard skills to input information and operate IT software.

Desirable

Previous NHS/Hospital experience Experience working in an office 'admin role and various clerical activities associated with such roles.

Qualifications & Training Essential

Educated to GCSE/"O" Level or equivalent. NVQ Level 2 Customer Service or equivalent experience

Desirable

NVQ level 3 customer service ECDL, CLAIT or relevant experience

Personal Attributes & Skills Essential

Sensitive to patient needs Understanding of Data Protection Act Confidentiality Use of PC and keyboard skills to input information. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills Ability to liaise with staff groups at all levels
