About this role

Job Summary

The Safety Supervisor leads workplace safety and EHS programs in a manufacturing environment. Partnering with Operations, HR, and leadership, this role ensures regulatory compliance, reduces risk, investigates incidents, delivers safety training, and promotes a proactive safety culture. Regular production-floor presence is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Safety Management System, records, metrics, reports, and regulatory documentation.

• Implement and improve safety programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and company standards.

• Conduct safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up.

• Observe work practices, reinforce PPE requirements, and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.

• Deliver onboarding, toolbox talks, refresher training, and ongoing employee safety education.

• Support emergency response planning, drills, safety committees, occupational health, and contractor compliance.

• Analyze safety trends and partner with employees and leaders to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.

• At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience.

• Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable EPA, ANSI, and occupational safety requirements.

• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.

• Strong leadership, communication, training, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. An associate degree with relevant certifications and significant experience may be considered.

• OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR Instructor, bilingual Spanish/English, UKG/UltiPro, or LMS experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This role includes office work and regular activity in production areas. It may require standing, walking, bending, and exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Required PPE and safety protocols must be followed.
