DTU Tenure Track Researcher in Advanced Manufacturing with focus on Coupled Heat and Mass Transfer in Multi-Phase Processes – DTU Construct

Are you looking to advance your research career by pushing the boundaries of computational modelling in advanced manufacturing?

As an advanced thermal & fluid simulation tenure track researcher for multi-phase processes at DTU Construct, you will have the opportunity to lead high-impact projects, optimize next-generation manufacturing processes, and see your virtual models transform into real-world devices and products. To succeed in this role, you bring outstanding competencies in the computational modelling of advanced manufacturing processes, backed by a strong academic track record in thermo-fluidics, multi-phase systems, and multi-physics simulations.

By joining our dedicated Section of Manufacturing Engineering within the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, you will be working alongside a world-class team committed to engineering innovation.

Responsibilities and qualifications

The primary research areas associated with this position include:

Multiphysics modelling and simulation of advanced manufacturing processes including spray forming and float zone processes Thermo-fluid modelling of phase-change systems and devices Multi-scale computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Thermal management solutions for next-generation electronic systems Heat transfer technologies involving heat pipes and advanced heat exchangers

You should have demonstrated ability to perform high-quality scientific research independently. Also, you should have a good track record of publishing research results in reputed scientific journals and participating in international conferences. You should have ambition to secure research grants to support your own research activities, and successful record of funding application will be highly valued. You are expected to build close collaboration with both colleagues from DTU and other research institutes.

You will also participate in various teaching activities including special courses and project supervision in bachelor, MSc- and PhD levels, documented teaching experience will be a bonus.

DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.

As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
