About this role
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and will start immediately. SUMMARY Under direction of the After School Program Coordinator, the After-School Program Worker supervises students enrolled in the program according to the directives of the coordinator. GENERAL DUTIES
• Provide instruction and supervision for a specified group of students according to the directives of the program coordinator.
• Become familiar with program policies and ensure that such policies are properly implemented.
• Ensure that all your student and parent interaction is characterized by professionalism, courtesy, respect, and in harmony with the Christian spirit of CCS.
• Work in conjunction with coordinator to assist with duties relative to program set up, clean up, building security, recording keeping, and other logistical/operational issues.
• Consult with coordinator to ensure that significant incidents (behavioral, etc.) are properly documented and communicated to the parents/guardians.
• Be familiar with your reporting obligations to appropriate regulatory agencies regarding child abuse/neglect.
• Follow established policies regarding student supervision/classroom management.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Basic working knowledge of issues relating to after school programs.
• Ability to effectively supervise students.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to exercise excellent judgment.
• Ability to multitask.
PREFERRED
• Two years experience working with elementary age children, preferably as a teacher.
• First Aid/CPR training
ESSENTIAL CCS REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures.
• Must be able to accept and support the school's doctrinal statement.
• Must have an understanding of and commitment to CCS's educational objectives and philosophy of education.
• Must attend a Bible-believing church.
• Must clear background check and history indicating fitness to work with children.
