Campus Safety Fulltime VHHS Overview: The Campus Safety staff is responsible to ensure the safety and security of the staff and students in the high schools. Reports to: Campus Safety Supervisor Assistant Principal for Operations Employee Status: Educational Support Professional - Campus Safety ESP Bargaining Union Calendar: 184 Teacher Attendance Days, 7:30am - 4:00pm Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation Professional/Personal Characteristics:
• Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
• Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor the safety and security of the students in the building and on campus
• Implements school safety and security activities
• Ensures that school policies and procedures are followed
• Assists with the monitoring of student movement and behavior throughout the school day
• Assists with the control of disruptive students and teams with appropriate school personnel about student behavior and behavior related issues
• Escorts and assists students to assigned areas
• Works with first responders in regard to security and safety
