Our client leads an active lifestyle and enjoys technology, electronics, design, and hands-on projects. Every day is different, with a mix of busy, practical support and quieter periods where you can study, read, or work on your own projects while remaining available if needed.

Responsibilities may Include:
• Provide personal care and support with daily living while promoting independence and dignity. • Assist with meal preparation, light household tasks, and gardening. • Build a positive relationship with the client and become part of a long-standing support team. • Work independently while contributing to the client's goals and quality of life

This role is particularly well suited to students pursuing studies in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Engineering, Health Sciences, or related fields, with opportunities to gain practical experience and insight into the healthcare sector.
The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):
• A supportive mindset to help our Service Users achieve their goals for independent living in the community
• Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries
• A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided)
• Access to your own car and ability to drive Independently ( a Full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
We offer a range of employment opportunities including casual, part-time, and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.
Days of Work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including AM, PM and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.
We are looking for someone who would be comfortable covering between the hours 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM (sleepover shifts). The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.

• Pay Band: $25.22 - $31.40 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
