Position Overview
ADG Blatt is seeking an experienced Architect III to join our Oklahoma City Studio. This senior-level position is intended for a licensed architect with demonstrated experience leading complex projects, building trusted client and consultant relationships, developing project teams, and successfully guiding projects from early design through construction.
Depending on project needs and the individual's experience and strengths, the Architect III may serve as a Senior Project Architect, Senior Project Manager, or other project leadership role.
As a Senior Project Architect, this individual leads the design, technical development, coordination, documentation, and execution of the architectural solution while providing leadership to the internal project team and maintaining design quality throughout the project.
As a Senior Project Manager, this individual leads project planning and execution while managing client communication, scope, schedule, fee, consultants, and overall project performance.
Our work includes a diverse portfolio of multifamily, healthcare, civic/public, K-12 education, higher education, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Essential Functions
• Project Leadership
• Provide senior-level leadership for complex architectural projects from planning and design through construction.
• Establish clear project goals, responsibilities, communication expectations, and execution strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate effectively across architecture, interiors, engineering, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Anticipate project challenges and guide teams toward proactive, collaborative solutions.
• Balance client expectations, design quality, technical requirements, schedule, budget, and project performance.
• Foster a collaborative project environment that supports accountability, communication, and successful outcomes.
• Senior Project Architect Responsibilities (when serving in this capacity)
• Lead the development, refinement, coordination, and execution of the architectural design.
• Drive design meetings and guide the design decision-making process throughout all phases of the project.
• Maintain design intent while balancing functionality, budget, schedule, constructability, and client objectives.
• Lead technical development, architectural detailing, building systems integration, and constructability.
• Oversee code, life-safety, accessibility, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate preparation of construction documents.
• Coordinate architectural work with consultants and other disciplines.
• Coordinate QA/QC reviews and ensure comments are appropriately resolved and incorporated.
• Assign and coordinate work within the internal project team and communicate staffing and resource needs.
• Promote collaboration across disciplines and maintain accountability for internal team performance.
• Guide implementation of the design during construction, including RFIs, submittals, substitutions, field conditions, punch lists, and closeout.
• Mentor project team members in design thinking, technical execution, problem-solving, and professional development.
• Senior Project Manager Responsibilities (when serving in this capacity)
• Lead the planning, organization, communication, and execution of the project.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and maintain proactive, professional communication.
• Develop and maintain the project execution plan, milestones, and overall project schedule.
• Manage contracted scope and identify and coordinate additional services when appropriate.
• Monitor project budgets, labor, financial performance, and forecasts.
• Coordinate invoicing and proactively address financial concerns.
• Manage consultant contracts, scope, schedules, deliverables, and administrative coordination.
• Lead project meetings and maintain accountability for decisions, action items, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify project risks early and coordinate appropriate solutions and escalation.
• Partner closely with the Project Architect to align client, business, design, and technical objectives throughout the project.

Education and Experience
• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited architecture program.
• Current architectural licensure required. Oklahoma licensure is not required at the time of hire, with the ability to obtain Oklahoma registration as appropriate.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional architectural experience with demonstrated senior-level project leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex architectural projects through multiple phases of design and delivery.
• Experience serving in a Project Architect and/or Project Manager capacity.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing project teams.
• Experience managing client and consultant relationships.
• Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and/or financial performance appropriate to assigned project leadership responsibilities.
• Experience within one or more of ADG Blatt's primary market sectors preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oklahoma City Studio. Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ADG Blatt recognizes the value of flexibility and offers flexible work hours following an introductory period, based on the responsibilities of the position, project and team needs, and the employee's ability to consistently meet performance and communication expectations. Occasional evening, weekend, or project-related travel may be required based on project needs.
