Division R&D Department Test and Validation Level EX Functional Area CAE-CFD 1 Job Title CFD Engineer 2 Reporting Functional reporting to LX 3 Background i) Educational Qualification Essential: B.Tech/BE from NIT/IIT Optional: M.Tech/ME/M.S from IIT/IISC ii) Experience Minimum: 3 Maximum: 5 iii) Age Limit Minimum: 25 Maximum: 30 4 Job Role & Responsibilities Role: CFD Engineer Technical/ Functional: Job Responsibilities: - Conduct CFD simulations and analysis to optimize vehicle aerodynamic and thermal performance, ensuring efficiency and design compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges related to airflow, heat transfer, component cooling, HVAC systems, fan design, multi-phase flow simulations and EV-specific thermal management such as battery cooling, motor cooling and electronic control units heat dissipation. Technical/ Functional Competencies:-Knowledge of software like STARCCM+ (Must) and AMESim (Optional). Testing exposure in the field of Flow, Pressure and Temperature measurement. 5 Competency Requirements Behavioral Specific expertise required for functional area: Should be able to seamlessly integrate between test and simulation, collaborate effectively with teams, take initiative, guide others and adapt to new tools and technologies. 6 Likely sources OEMs – Maruti,Volvo,Ford,GE,GM,Honda,Mahindra,Ashok Leyland etc Service Industry – 2nd preference Tier1 suppliers –Not preferred
