SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Jotun Kenya is hiring a Technical Service Representative for our floor coatings business, to provide professional technical support to customers through guiding paint application, conducting inspections, and ensuring approved coating specifications are met. This role supports successful project delivery by ensuring work is completed in line with contract requirements and customer satisfaction, while strengthening their confidence in Jotun solutions and expertise.
The role is based in Nairobi- Kenya, and reports to Sales Manager- Marine and Protective Coatings.
Responsibilities:
• Lead technical site inspections and assessments for surface preparation, moisture levels, profile, cleanliness, and overall substrate condition before floor coating application.
• Monitor and guide floor coating application to applicators on correct mixing, application, curing methods, and key application parameters to ensure compliance with approved Jotafloor specifications.
• Ensure quality and specification compliance by verifying that floor coating systems are applied in line with approved project Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, and requirements.
• Investigate and identify issues from coating failures, complaints, or non-conformances, and recommend solutions by advising on suitable corrective or repair actions.
• Prepare clear technical documentation including inspection reports, application data, quality observations, non-conformance reports, recommendations, and final handover documentation.
• Provide technical expertise and project management support to customers and applicators through practical product guidance, training on Jotafloor best practices in project meetings, warranty inspections, maintenance reviews, specifications, and method statement preparation.

Qualifications we are looking for:
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in chemical, civil, construction or relevant field.
• Experience in industrial floor coating systems and concrete repair works.
• A strong communicator, able to build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
