About this role
We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer – Aerodynamic Surfacing to support a group of designers delivering world‑class aerodynamic geometry for CFD, wind tunnel and race car development. You’ll own major aerodynamic surfacing projects end‑to‑end—ensuring geometry quality, legality, timing and performance—while continuously improving tools, workflows and ways of working. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll combine technical excellence, mentorship and strategic thinking to help drive the aerodynamic performance of our Formula One car. In this role, you will: Manage the design, planning and delivery of aerodynamic geometry into CFD, wind tunnel testing and race car programmes. Own large‑scale aerodynamic design projects from concept through to release and manufacture. Ensure timing, quality and legality of geometry for wind tunnel and aerodynamic releases. Drive efficient workflows, tool development and long‑term process improvements. Develop and enhance parametric and surfacing methodologies in collaboration with aerodynamicists. Support FIA legality checking and maintain regulation box CAD models. Provide clear progress reporting and early risk identification to senior stakeholders. Champion best‑in‑class standards in CAD, surfacing quality, culture and collaboration. Support mentoring a team of aerodynamic designers.
