Asset Accountant
Up to £63,000 | Central London | Hybrid
An exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a high profile, fast paced retail business in a key role across a large multi-site estate.
This is more than a traditional asset accounting role. You'll take ownership of the asset base, work across new stores, refurbishments and technology projects, and partner with senior stakeholders to support investment decisions and improve processes.
The role
Own the fixed asset register and WIP across a multi site environmentManage acquisitions, disposals, refurbishments, transfers, impairments and depreciationOversee accounting for new stores and refurbishment projectsManage project accounting and capital expenditurePartner with Technology and operational teams on budgets and investmentAnalyse project spend, variances and ROIDeliver accurate month end reporting and reconciliationsSupport audit and improve finance processes

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifiedEssential: proven fixed asset / asset accounting experienceEssential: multi site experienceExperience within retail, FMCG or another asset intensive businessStrong Excel and financial analysis skillsGood understanding of IFRS / UK GAAPStrong business partnering and stakeholder management skillsERP experience
