Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified MHWPs to work alongside service users, families, carers and multi-disciplinary team members to co-ordinate care, supporting collaborative decision-making about care and treatment in primary care.
To deliver a set of wellbeing-focused psychologically-informed interventions, aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles, based on the best evidence available, that address problems often experienced by people with complex mental health problems.
The post-holder will work under close clinical skills supervision usually from an HCPC registered clinical / counselling psychologist, BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural therapist to provide specified psychologically-informed wellbeing-focused interventions, with a level of autonomy matched to level of demonstrated competence and stage of training.
Main duties of the job
The roles and responsibilities of this post are in line with the Trust's goals of implementing and rolling out Dialog+ and offered stepped care for complex mental health presentations. These roles offer low intensity interventions which are brief and focused. They play an integral role in ensuring that stepped care is a genuine offer and that psychological interventions can be offered at different stages of need and readiness.

About us
Lewisham Integrated Therapies (LIT) works closely with the neighbourhood PCMHTs to meet the mental health needs of the diverse Lewisham population. The post holder will be located in the PCMHTs and supervised by a therapist from LIT. The Trust is committed to embedding this new workforce into SLAM, and offers forums for all MHWPs to come together to seek support and shared experiences.
