East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) is looking for a Community Fundraiser to support and grow fundraising activities across Cambridgeshire and West Essex. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll work with supporters, volunteers, community groups and local organisations to raise vital funds and awareness for children and young people receiving hospice care and their families.
Working closely with the Senior Community Fundraiser and wider fundraising team, you'll help develop fundraising opportunities, support volunteers, attend community events and ensure supporters receive a positive and engaging experiencethroughout their fundraising journey.
About the role
As Community Fundraiser, you will:
Develop and maintain relationships with supporters, community groups and local organisations. Encourage and support individuals and groups with fundraising activities. Help achieve fundraising objectives across the region. Represent EACH at community events, presentations and hospice tours. Support and coordinate fundraising volunteers. Contribute ideas to help develop inclusive and engaging fundraising activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising, marketing and other teams. Maintain accurate records and supporter information using our database systems.

About you
We're looking for someone who can communicate effectively with a wide range of people and build positive relationships within local communities. You will be organised, proactive and able to balance competing priorities while maintaining a supporter-focused approach.
You will have:
Experience in a customer, client or community-facing role. Experience building and maintaining effective relationships. Effective communication and listening skills. Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. An interest in the charity sector and community fundraising. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Additional requirements
A current valid, full driving licence and access to transport to travel throughout the region. Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events. 1st Interviews: 19th August 2026 via Teams

In this role, you will work with the Senior Community Fundraiser in maximising income andraising awareness across the specified area.
As a member of the Community Fundraising Team you will contribute to the development and implementation of the wider Community Fundraising strategy, working with colleagues to embeda culture for fundraising success and support across the wider organisation.
Responsibilities:
Income Generation & Growth
Work closely with the Senior Community Fundraiser and wider Community Fundraisingteam to maximise income across the region, meeting and exceeding annual fundraisingtargets.
Identify individuals and groups with fundraising potential and ignite their passion tosupport EACH.
Supporter Engagement & Stewardship
Deliver exceptional relationship management to supporters ensuring year-on-yearretention and uplift.
Represent EACH at events, presentations, and hospice tours, showcasing the charitysimpact and inspiring support.
Work closely with the Senior Community Fundraiser to provide high-quality supporterfundraising journeys and seamless event coordination.
Use EACHs database (Raisers Edge) to accurately record supporter activity, in line withGDPR.
Volunteer Leadership
Lead, organise, and upskill a team of fundraising volunteers to support local events.
Identify gaps in volunteer coverage and recruit new members to strengthen the team.
Innovation & Collaboration
Contribute to the development of new, inclusive, and diverse community fundraising ideasand practices.
Collaborate with colleagues across teams, including Corporate and Marketing, to crosssell opportunities and share impactful stories.
Support the Events Team by introducing new supporters, encouraging participation, andstewarding event attendees to build long-term relationships.
Administration & Efficiency
Carry out essential admin tasks including banking, thanking donors, and maintainingaccurate records.
Follow organisational processes to improve efficiency and deepen supporter engagement.
Manage time and priorities effectively to focus on income-generating opportunities.
Person Specification
Skills & Abilities Essential
Demonstrable interest in charities and fundraising Ability to engage and persuade external stakeholders Clear communication style and effective listening skills Able to work proactively both independently and as part of a team, with a solution-focused approach. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise in a busy environment
Qualifications Essential
Effective communication skills appropriate to a range of audiences both written and verbally.

Understanding of charity data protection regulations
Experience Essential
