About this role
Reports to: Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction/Director of Curriculum & Instruction Essential Functions:
• Facilitate department meetings as per District developed schedule and disseminate follow up notes to department members and appropriate administrators
• Maintain and update curriculum documents
• Work in conjunction with the Curriculum Office to develop the curriculum writing schedule, review finished product, and provide feedback prior to final submission to the Board of School Directors
• Assist Curriculum Office with the development, training, and implementation of common assessments
• Assist with the tracking, monitoring, and assessing student performance and growth through data analysis
• Use data to identify effective instructional practices
• Research, disseminate and discuss current teaching and learning trends (district wide)/best practices
• Assist in the development of Student Performance Measures (SPMs)
• Provide curriculum leadership and assistance for new staff/Assist in the development and dissemination of orientation/instructional materials for new teachers in their assigned curricular area
• Make recommendations for professional development planning
• Make recommendations for new/supplemental materials, along with coordination of departmental supplies
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Office of Curriculum and Instruction
• Assist in the development of Curriculum website for applicable subject area/grade level
• Create annual action plans for department and track departmental progress
