Position Responsibilities The Exceptional Child Instructor will:
• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned to students' IEPs and Kentucky Academic Standards.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to support student success.
• Monitor student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
• Participate actively in PLCs, MTSS, ARC meetings, and school improvement efforts.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
• Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of an Exceptional Child Instructor.
Qualifications
• Valid Kentucky Exceptional Child certification or eligibility for certification.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and student-centered instruction.
