Exceptional Children Monitor Position Summary: The Exceptional Children Monitor supports students with disabilities under the direction of certified special education staff and school administration. This position assists students with academic, behavioral, social, physical, and personal-care needs while promoting safety, independence, inclusion, and student success. Essential Duties:
• Provide individual and small-group support to students with disabilities.
• Assist students with classroom instruction, activities, transitions, and daily routines.
• Implement teacher-directed accommodations, behavior supports, and instructional strategies.
• Support students with communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behavior.
• Assist with mobility, feeding, toileting, hygiene, and other personal-care needs when required.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and follow established safety and behavior procedures.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, related-service providers, administrators, and other staff.
• Maintain strict student confidentiality and professionalism.
• Participate in required training and perform other student-support duties as assigned.
