About this role
The Dyslexia Paraprofessional assists certified staff in delivering targeted reading interventions to students identified with characteristics of dyslexia. This role supports small‑group instruction, progress monitoring, and documentation under the supervision of a licensed Dyslexia Interventionist.
Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group reading support using approved intervention programs. Implement lesson plans and strategies developed by the Dyslexia Interventionist. Record student progress data and maintain confidentiality of student records. Assist with screening, assessment, and documentation for dyslexia services. Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce literacy skills across subjects. Prepare instructional materials and maintain organized learning spaces. Participate in professional development related to dyslexia and literacy intervention. Support a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and growth.
