Position: Site Maintenance Reports to: Principal Supervises: None Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Work cooperatively with students, teachers, and co-workers.
• Must have several general maintenance skills such as electrical, plumbing and mechanical.
• Must be willing to sweep, mop or clean the building, if needed.
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To provide the safest, cleanest and most wholesome buildings and grounds for the students, faculty and public. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Unlock all buildings, turn off security system and turn appropriate lights on.
• Sweep door entries and outside mats that may have accumulated debris from the night winds.
• Replace burned out or blinking light fixtures, including lamps and ballast.
• Replace switches, receptacles and plates as necessary.
• Check heat and/or cooling units for proper operation, and report problems.
• Develop a system of cleaning and maintenance of HVAC units, checking cleanliness of outdoor coils and reporting needed attention.
• Empty outside trash and pick up grounds.
• Keep check on restrooms for problems and do whatever is necessary to repair, including minor plumbing repairs, use of auger to clear drains in sinks, stools, urinals and floors; and install, repair and maintain all types of dispensers.
• Clean spills and leaks, as well as, vomit when needed.
• Help maintain buildings and grounds at all times.
• Some buildings may have a regular sweeping assignment.
• Dump inside door tracking mats outside.
• Help implement and follow Energy Management Guidelines.
• Assist in the cafeteria with tables, trash and clean-up as requested by principal.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
