About this role

JOB TITLE: Technology Education Teacher (STEM and Project Lead the Way) JOB DESCRIPTION NARRATIVE: Provides instruction and support for students in grades 6-8 related to the state approved STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum, modular teaching techniques, group activities, instructional and career readiness and advisor of the Technology Student Association (TSA). Responsible for preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of various required reports. Some travel is required, generally in-state and occasionally over-night with student supervision responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge: Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in Technology Education, Secondary Science and/or Math, or Elementary Education. Other degree options will be considered. Valid Oklahoma teaching credential in Technology Education or alternative pathway to pursue the Technology Education credential. Also requires a valid driver's license. Skills:

• High level of attention to detail

• Ability to budget available resources

• Grant writing experience

• Aptitude for learning new technologies

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Requires ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents as necessary. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, administrators and other members of the community.

• Requires ability to apply moderately complex mathematical equations as applicable.

• Requires ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

• Requires moderate computer skills and knowledge. Requires strong oral and written communication skills and planning and organization skills.
