JOB TITLE: Middle School Instructional Technology Coach SALARY: Teacher salary schedule (+ 6% per negotiated agreement) JOB DESCRIPTION NARRATIVE: The Technology/Instructional Coach will assist in mentoring and training teachers, administrators and other district personnel with the ultimate goal of integrating technology into the curriculum. They will also mentor new, alternatively, and emergency certified teachers in the area of instruction, classroom management, and other areas and practices to ensure the teachers are successful. They will model and demonstrate effective delivery of a lesson and share classroom management strategies. They will also be responsible for the planning of in-depth professional development that promotes higher-order thinking and student centered learning, while assisting teachers in developing appropriate strategies for organizing and managing curriculum resources, integration of software and effective utilization of technology resources. This position requires an educator who shows unusual initiative, is a self-starter and once given a task can be depended upon to carry it through to completion. QUALIFICATIONS: Current and valid Oklahoma Teaching Certification Effective user of Technology in the classroom. Flexible in adapting to new situations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The Instructional Technology Coordinator must have knowledge of: personal computer operating systems, peripheral equipment, basic operational functions, data processing terminology, trouble-shooting techniques, testing, current productivity software, adult and student learning style variations, teaching principles, practices and procedures, principles of curriculum and professional development, educational training resources, proper English composition, usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Attend District Technology meetings which will generate innovative ideas, approaches and solutions related to integrating technology into the curriculum.

• Assist in the development, renewal and implementation of the District Technology Plan.

• Train district personnel to effectively utilize and integrate technology into classroom instruction.

• Mentor new, alternatively, and emergency certified teachers in the areas of instruction and classroom management.

• Assist in the revision of curriculum guides, pacing, development of CFA's and collection of data to help identify professional development needs.

WORK SCHEDULE Days: 185 - 7 1/2 Hour Days + 5 Professional Days Hours: a. Sit _3.5___ hrs b. Stand _2 ___ hrs c. Walk _2 ___ hrs
