About this role
The Junior Estimation & Design Engineer plays a key role in integrating estimation, planning, and execution control to ensure structured and predictable project delivery.
This role is responsible for preparing detailed quantity and material take-offs, developing accurate cost estimates, and translating estimation assumptions into executable project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material take-offs for electrical and IT construction projects.
• Develop accurate cost estimates based on validated drawings, BOQs, and project scope.
• Review and validate scope documents to ensure completeness and estimation accuracy.
• Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with the estimate and translate it into baseline and rolling schedules.
• Convert manpower loading and productivity assumptions into structured, executable task plans.
• Monitor daily site progress and compare actual productivity against estimated benchmarks.
• Forecast schedule and cost impacts based on production trends and manpower utilization.
• Identify deviations in scope, sequencing, or productivity, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support Project Managers in evaluating variations, delays, and resource adjustments.
• Coordinate closely with site teams to ensure crew-task alignment and execution readiness.
• Assist in variation analysis, change order management, and performance optimization.
• Provide structured reporting and clear visibility on the project schedule and performance status.
• This role might require working on the Eastern Standard Time (EST) shift to meet operational and business needs; the Jr. E&D engineer may be required to rotate between local office hours and EST hours. Such rotation will be planned and communicated by the company.
