About this role

As part of the Software Development team, the QA Engineer works in an agile squad to ensure the platform's quality and reliability. The role covers end-to-end manual and automated testing across frontend, backend, and API layers, working closely with QA, BA, Developers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to deliver high-quality releases.

Main Objectives and Activities

• Understand business requirements, system workflows, and project scope to ensure effective test coverage.

• Design, create, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data for web applications.

• Perform end-to-end manual testing for both frontend and backend functionalities.

• Validate APIs, database records, business rules, and system integrations.

• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing.

• Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts and test frameworks.

• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

• Analyze quality risks and proactively communicate issues to stakeholders and project teams.

• Prepare testing artifacts including test plans, test reports, and test execution summaries.

• Collaborate closely with QA, BA, Developers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with strong experience in web application testing.

• Solid experience in manual testing, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing.

• Hands-on experience in frontend and backend testing, including API validation and database verification.

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Java, Playwright, Rest API, or similar frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of test case design techniques, defect management, and software testing methodologies.

• Ability to create complex test scenarios, prepare test data, and perform end-to-end testing.

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and software development lifecycle (SDLC/STLC).

• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Postman, SQL, and Git.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
