About this role
The SNAP E&T Case Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Process referrals received from SNAP E&T Central Office on a weekly basis.
• Follow the guidelines in the DHS SNAP E&T Handbook.
• Conduct a preliminary assessment of individuals in a timely manner to TABE, Scale Scores and Educational Functional Level.
• Serve as participant case coordinator and help in the development of an individual education/career plan.
• Complete an Employment Plan for each participant and update as needed.
• Provide job search assistance.
• Monitor participant's progress monthly and provide steps to help maintain successful progress.
• Maintain up to date participant files.
• Identify barriers faced by participants and develop a solution.
• Complete all required reports in a timely manner.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Available to work days and also some evenings and Saturdays.
Successful candidates must complete the Career Services Provider (CSP) Course within one (1) year of hire. The candidate must have a commitment to working cooperatively with other campus personnel to fulfill the mission of the College and have the ability to deliver quality customer service. Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Three (3) years of experience in the program
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office
Salary will be based upon qualifications and experience. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the HR department.
This position is subject to a pre-employment background check. A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant in the absence of a relationship to the requirements of the position. Background check information will be used in a confidential and non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). In addition to Monday through Thursday, must be available to work Tuesday or Thursday evening and two Saturdays per month.
