Lifeguard Reports To: Aquatic Center Coordinator Location: Aquatic Facility Job Summary The Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons at the aquatic facility. This position includes monitoring swimmers, enforcing pool rules, handling admission money, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, and providing courteous assistance to patrons. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Lifeguarding & Safety
• Monitor pool activities continuously to ensure the safety of all swimmers and
• Enforce all pool rules and safety
• Identify potential hazards and unsafe behavior and address them
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and providing first aid or CPR when required.
• Remain alert and attentive while on duty at all
2. Patron Interaction & Customer Service
• Greet patrons and provide a welcoming
• Answer questions regarding pool rules, schedules, and facility
• Address patron concerns in a respectful and professional

Personal Cellular Device Policy
• The use of personal cellular devices is strictly prohibited while on lifeguard duty.
• Cellular devices may only be used during designated breaks and away from the lifeguard station or assigned duty area.

Qualifications
• Current Lifeguard Certification (such as through the American Red Cross or equivalent).
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid
• Strong swimming ability and rescue
• Ability to remain alert, responsible, and professional in a public safety
