About this role
The Cost Controller supports the successful delivery of ongoing projects in Indonesia by monitoring costs, supporting budget control, and helping the efficient project execution
Main responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
• Budget management: Develop and maintain detailed cost control plans, set up cost breakdown structures, and allocate budgets/resources
• Cost analysis: Collect and analyze financial data, track variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Forecasting: Prepare accurate financial forecasts and update them regularly to reflect project progress
• Reporting: Generate internal cost reports, reconcile project costs with accounting records, and present findings to management
• Compliance: Review subcontractor invoices, validate change orders, and ensure adherence to financial regulations
• Risk management: Perform cost risk analysis, define contingency reserves, and contribute to project risk assessments.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cost control processes
Qualification: (minimum)
• Education: Degree in Engineering. Experience, skills, and knowledge:
• Minimum 3-5 years in cost control.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in Excel, and cost accounting principles, able to operate Microsoft Project or Primavera preferred. • Project control/planning experience: prior exposure to project control or project planning is highly preferred, as it strengthens budgeting and scheduling alignment Personal attributes:
• Soft skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate financial data to non-financial colleagues
