You will ensure comprehensive support and act as the point of contact for our customers and prospective clients, whilst supporting the sales network from the initial enquiry right through to final payment. With a clear focus on profitable growth and excellent customer service, you will be responsible for the operational and administrative management of your assigned market area.
Responsibilities
• Systematic management and maintenance of the defined customer base • Checking enquiries for technical feasibility • Preparing, submitting and following up on quotations • Checking incoming orders for technical feasibility, prices and deadlines • SAP-supported order entry for the production plants, checking order confirmations • Preparing and optimizing delivery schedules for deliveries via the service centers, as well as order entry in the service program (Sidonie) • Continuously reconciling customer requirements with finished quantities and making any necessary corrections • Managing and monitoring master tape and customer stocks • Timely order tracking through to and including invoicing • Close liaison with the production plants in France and Belgium, as well as the service centers in Luxembourg, Sersheim and Haan • Applying for and monitoring credit limits, as well as ensuring payments are received on time and in full • Resolving discrepancies regarding prices and discounts • Handling customer complaints • Preparation of costing, visit and meeting documents, as well as statistics • Preparation of forecasts • Management and maintenance of customer files • Completion of all administrative tasks relating to the role in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage • Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions • Occasional travel / customer visits / factory visits
Qualifications
• At least a completed commercial apprenticeship and at least 3 years’ sales experience • In-depth knowledge of international trade (INCOTERMS, payment terms, export duties, etc.) • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems (particularly SAP) • Knowledge of the industry would be an advantage • Very good command of English and German in a professional context; knowledge of French is a plus • Strong customer and service focus, as well as excellent negotiation skills • Ability to work well in a team, adaptability, reliability and the ability to work independently • Excellent communication skills
