About this role
Your main responsibilities will Include:
• Ensure all client orders are placed and executed before the relevant fund or cash cut-off times.
• Monitor the GFX Trading mailbox, respond to incoming emails, or route them to the appropriate party or folder.
• Continuously monitor cleared fund orders and take appropriate follow-up actions.
• Liaise with external Transfer Agents (TAs) to place trades on behalf of clients.
• Handle ad-hoc queries from Transfer Agents, Fund Managers, clients, and internal teams.
• Identify and implement operational improvements, including automation opportunities, to support the onboarding of additional activities.
• Identify and challenge non-standard or exception-based processes, ensuring thorough risk assessments and appropriate controls are in place prior to implementation.
• Follow up on outstanding processes and queries, and provide regular updates to clients and Client Service teams.
• Maintain effective communication with Client Service teams and Transfer Agents, ensuring internal and external queries are handled within a reasonable timeframe and to a high standard of service.
• Collaborate with various teams, including Transfer Agent Network, Client Service, Data, and Reconciliation teams, to support business operations.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.
Requirements:
• 1 - 3 years of industry experience related to financial services operations with understanding of investment operations and operational excellence.
• Fresh graduates with finance, accounting or audit qualifications are also welcome.
• Proficient in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
• Well-developed organizational and critical thinking skills to resolve complex day to day issues independently.
• Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities with sub-custodians and both internal/external departments.
• Detail oriented, excellent accuracy skills and good understanding in mutual fund and hedge fund are strongly recommended.
• Working hours: 3.00pm – 12.00am / 4.00pm – 01.00am Malaysia time.
