Job summary
Are you keen to work at a world renowned Trust?We're on the lookout for a Highly Specialised Physiotherapist to join our vibrant team of 60 professionals, which includes 13 advanced physiotherapy practitioners and 3 consultant physiotherapists.
You'll play a pivotal role in outpatient musculoskeletal service all whileserving our diverse local community.
We have a 1 year fixed term post available at 0.6 WTE.
In this role, you'll gain invaluable experience managing referrals from GPs and Consultants across orthopaedics, rheumatology, neurosurgery, hands, and women's health, whilst actively participating in our outpatient clinics. Here's what you can expect:? Conducting specialised musculoskeletal assessments and devising comprehensivetreatment plans.? Guiding and mentoring qualified physiotherapists, students, and other members ofthe multidisciplinary team.? Engaging in evidence-based projects, departmental research, and quality audits.? Acting as a physiotherapy team leader in operational management.
Our services are spread across three main sites: St George's Hospital in Tooting, St John's Therapy Centre in Clapham Junction, and Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton, with additional outreach into the community. You will be based at St George's Hospital in Tooting.

Main duties of the job
? Patient Care:o Undertake the highly specialist assessment of patients as an autonomouspractitioner, including those with highly complex presentations.o Manage a diverse caseload of patients presenting with a range ofmusculoskeletal conditions, reflecting the local demographic of Wandsworth.o Signpost or refer patients to other services or teams as indicated.o Supervise and support rotational Band 6 physiotherapists, pre-registrationphysiotherapy students, and work experience students.
? Service Delivery:o Deliver physiotherapy services at St George's Hospital Tooting, St John's TherapyCentre Clapham Junction, and Queen Mary's Hospital Roehampton, with outreachinto the community.
? Professional Development:o Engage in regular in-service training programs covering a variety of topics todevelop into a well-rounded clinician.o Participate in clinical supervision and joint clinics led by an AdvancedPhysiotherapy Practitioner.o Contribute to departmental service improvement projects and research initiatives.

Qualifications and Training Essential
oDegree or equivalent in physiotherapy oHPC registration oEvidence of CPD in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
Desirable
oFormal management training oMSc in musculoskeletal physiotherapy oPost registration MSc in musculoskeletal physiotherapy or evidence of working at equivalent level. oPostgraduate education/courses in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. oRelevant special interest group membership.
Experience Essential
osignificant post registration\ experience in out-patient musculoskeletal physiotherapy at Band 6 level (or equivalent level) to include Consultant referrals , GP referrals, Rheumatology, Orthopaedic In-patients, persistent Pain Management oExperience of delivering physiotherapy in, one-to-one, Classes, or group formats. oExperience of delivering care within NHS clinical pathways including primary and secondary care systems oExperience of performance management for physiotherapists and students oGood understanding of education theory with experience of comprehensive supervision and able to deliver teaching to the department and MDT as required
Desirable
oExperience of: Hydrotherapy, Women's Health, Hands and Plastics, A&E oExperience with spreadsheets/data collection oExperience of organising and chairing meetings oExperience of operational team management
Skills and knowledge Essential
oFluent in written and oral English, with the ability to communicate complex/contentious information in a clear and logical manner to a range of audiences e.g. service users, carers, other professionals, stakeholders oAdvanced clinical reasoning skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy oAbility to keep legible and accurate notes in English in the POMR system oGood teaching, supervisory & appraisal skills oGood working knowledge of all areas of Clinical Governance Including quality, audit and risk management. oUnderstands the legal responsibilities of the profession oProven organisational skills including prioritisation and delegation oAbility to lead and motivate others within the team oAdvanced report writing skills oAbility to comprehend and work within the Trust's policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety to meet the differing needs of patients oAbility to be self-motivated
