Job summary

NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in our five boroughs: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington.

Referral & Intake Coordinatoro Maintain administrative systems and processes to guarantee an efficient and effective service that supports the delivery of CHC appeals process, and backlog clearance.o Be a key member of the ICB's Complex care administrative function, this role will provide administrative support to the Clinicians and managerial members.o Responsible for the gathering supporting documentation for CHC appealso Required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

Person Specification

Education/Qualification Essential

Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience. Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access. Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act. Knowledge of NHS Continuing healthcare

Desirable

Current knowledge of the relevant National Service Frameworks e.g. older people, long term conditions, cancer care, as well as current issues affecting the NHS and Social Services. To demonstrate an understanding of guidance on NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS Funded Nursing Care and a solid understanding of the background of continuing healthcare.

Skills and Knowledge Essential

Effective team working Ability to work without supervision Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadlines Skilled and competent in Microsoft Packages, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint. Excellent time management skills with the ability to reprioritise Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills

Desirable

Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports, data and letters. Negotiating, networking and persuasive skills

Experience Essential

Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
