Job summary
The post holder will manage and develop the Diagnostic Cardiology Department inpartnership with the non-invasive principle cardiac physiologist with ensuring the provision ofa high quality, effective service, and act as the professional lead of the department, withresponsibility for all professional, educational, and training needs.
The post holder supervises all aspects of physiological measurements that are carried out inthe Diagnostic Cardiology Department. This will include supervising the provision ofcardiology services for all in patients and out patients.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications Essential
Professional knowledge acquired through degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent experience. IBHRE/BHRS accreditation or equivalent experience.
Experience and knowledge Essential
Experience as a Chief Cardiac Physiologist proficient in highly specialist invasive& non-invasive clinical technical cardiac investigations Ability to perform and report 12 lead ECG, ambulatory ECG holter, technician led exercise treadmill tests, cardiac device implantation and follow up procedures and diagnostic angiography. Basic IT skills. Experience of complex cardiac device follow-up. Previous management experience; proven ability to supervise and develop staff minimum Of 3 years' experience as a Band 7
Desirable
Previous experience in working towards accreditation in the "Improving Quality in Physiological Services" (IQIPs) programme
Skills and Abilities Essential
Able to take charge and lead a team. Good time management skills Able to lead change Sound interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Ability to cope with stressful and emotional circumstances.
