Job SummaryYou will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (HULL PROJECT MANAGER) in the DDG51/DDG1000 Project Offices at the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, US Navy, Bath, Maine of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing shipbuilding at Public/Private shipyards, integration of USN Crews and project management of complex construction operations. Major DutiesYou will have broad knowledge of shipbuilding, including; design, material and scheduling requirements.You will have broad knowledge of ship working drawings, design and specification requirements and test program methods and procedures applicable to US Navy warships.You will have understanding of the waterfront liaison engineering/design groups' procedures for technical problem resolution and trial item resolution.You will have broad knowledge of fiscal management methods, practices and techniques.You will have knowledge of defense contract administration techniques.You will have the ability to determine feasibility, effectiveness, affect on schedule, ship mission, cost, etc. of proposed changes, alterations and modifications.You will have the ability to effectively develop production resolution plans and coordinate actions required to resolve them with minimum production disruption.You will have knowledge of shipyard capabilities, including production techniques and procedures used in the construction of US Navy surface warships.
