QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert-Level Knowledge of Cisco Security Portfolio: Strong, hands-on understanding of Cisco security products, especially Cisco ASA firewalls, Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Identity Services Engine (ISE). To be eligible for the 2210 series, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for daily operations of enterprise network, firewalls (ASA/FTD), VPNs with Cisco Secure Client, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Wide Area Network (WAN) connections.You will implement and manage network access control (NAC) using Cisco Identify Services Engine (ISE) to enforce security posture and C2C policies for all devices connecting to the network.You will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the network and security architecture, including diagrams, configuration guides, operational procedures, and COMSEC handling.You will monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using tools like Cisco Catalyst Center, or Secure Network Analytics to ensure reliability and proactively identify issues.You will ensure cybersecurity policies are followed in accordance with DoW, DON, and NAVSEA, including Navy PKI and RDTandE firewall policies, as well as experience with Zero Trust security principles and implementation.You will conduct network security evaluations, audits, and reviews; conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs;You will support IAVAs and patching of network systems.You will assess new technologies to improve network operations and security of network, developing long-term plans for technology refresh and network upgrades.
