QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Leading environmental media compliance program areas for an organization; 2) Knowledge of rules, regulations, and procedures, such as Title 22, related to environmental compliance, tanks management, spill prevention control and countermeasures (SPCC), and water quality; 3) Performing environmental inspections in the field to ensure compliance, identify deviations, and oversee implementation of corrective actions; 4) Working and communicating with regulatory agencies, tenants and other organizations while evaluating complex environmental problems/projects to identify solutions; 5) Reviewing military construction projects and operational/training programs to ensure regulatory compliance; and 6) Managing environmental programs by planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating cost effective solutions. Major DutiesYou will serve as the Tanks Program Manager in the Public Works Department Environmental Division at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake.You will be responsible for oversight of environmental media compliance in assigned program areas, such as storage tanks, spill control, and/or water quality and wastewater.You will provide input on environmental requirements, be responsible for routine maintenance and testing, and oversee related tasks performed by contractor personnel.You will perform environmental inspections in the field to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations, as well as DoD and Navy policies.• You will report to the Compliance Manager regarding assignments, program objectives and customer requirements.
