QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer overseeing long range plans or reviewing program effectiveness to support lifecycle maintenance and modernization for submarine operations. Major DutiesYou will be the senior civilian leader of the Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) organization.You will be responsible for overall command leadership and management, and strategic direction of the SUBMEPP mission.You will work directly with the In-Service and Industrial Base DRPM Submarines and the Fleet to carry out the mission of SUBMEPP.You will provide leadership and management continuity for the command.You will be responsible for organizational leadership, supervision and personnel evaluation, and overall program management, budget execution, and execution of technical responsibility for SUBMEPP.You will develop strategic long-range plans for the staff, evaluate and redefine programs and objectives, and make decisions which affect other programs of SUBMEPP.You will provide leadership and oversee management of all SUBMEPP programs including Class Maintenance Plans, Availability Work Packages, Fleet Maintenance Scheduling, Maintenance Instruction Documents, and Material Programs.You will support non-nuclear systems and components associated with all classes of US Naval Submarines, some components and systems on UK Submarines, some unique submersibles and certain submarine training facilities ashore and at sea.You will meet with senior leaders and top management officials at In-Service and Industrial Base DRPM Submarines, the Fleet, shipyards, and other activities.You will exhibit a sound background in engineering and managerial matters and must exercise the utmost tact in reconciling conflicting interests.
