QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading operational planning teams to coordinate emergency functions to prepare, respond, and recover from radiological emergencies and disasters. Major DutiesYou will serve as a Branch Head in the Radiological Emergency Planning Division of the Radiological Control Department and be responsible for preparing, preventing, responding, and recovering from major radiological emergencies.You will plan overall work operations, set priorities, and establish objectives with subordinate engineers, technicians, health physicists, and emergency management specialists.You will provide technical guidance and coordinate radiological emergency planning and radiological emergency response for the organization.You will evaluate the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy and regulatory compliance, and technical competence.You will oversee the development, maintenance, and coordination of all radiological emergency procedures, equipment, and facilities within cognizant areas of responsibility.You will design, develop, initiate, monitor, assess and implement policies, programs, and controls which will enable the branch to have the capacity and capability needed to provide products and services in compliance with requirements.You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for radiological emergency planning work.
