QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Managing solid waste programs, overseeing hazardous waste compliance, and controlling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in accordance with environmental regulations. 2. Directing hazardous waste treatment and disposal programs, including industrial waste treatment, collection operations, and the safe handling and disposal of hazardous drugs. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and establishing policy/criteria for all environmental programs.You will research and identify new processes that will result in a reduction of expired Hazardous Materials.You will develop and maintain a complete history library of all hazardous materials used by all departments.You will develop environmental training programs.You will conduct monthly and semi-annual inspections of facilities for continual improvement.
