Job SummaryYou will serve as a Financial Technician in the Comptroller Directorate, Accounting Division of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing account maintenance and accounting support requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, Financial Management Regulations (FMR) or applicable policies, and procedures to examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile financial accounts, accounting data, and reports. Major DutiesYou will perform account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data.You will determine pay, maintain timekeeping records and complete reports pertaining to civilian appropriated fund employees of the Federal Government.You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, financial and personnel specialists on timekeeping rules, regulations, and procedures.You will perform specialized work consisting of examination of documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government.
