About this role
Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our friendly, supporting, and motivated practice in Putney, South West London.
You will be covering a maternity post for 12 months from the beginning of August 2026. Full indemnity paid and £250 annual wellbeing allowance.
Any GP that joins our team will feel very supported by professionals allied to medicine. We also have a GP with a special interest in dermatology and skin surgery. All these expert staff allows us to keep much of treatment and care in-house.
We have circa 23k patients but our catchment area is small and most patients live within walking distance or a short bus/bike ride. Because Wandsworth is such a young borough we don't have as many frail elderly as some parts of the country and this means that we don't have high numbers of home visits. It would be highly unusual to have more than one per week and during the pandemic they have been even more infrequent.
Main duties of the job
We operate a triage model that combines telephone and online triage. We also offer a large number of face to face appointments that are either requested by the patient for complex issues or booked by the GP on the basis of the triage conversation.
About us
Heathbridge Practice is a great team of GP's, Nurses, Healthcare assistants and Administrative staff working to better the lives of patients in Putney in South West London. We are highly regarded in Wandsworth for high quality patient care and patient centred care.
We have an advanced nurse practitioner, 2 practice pharmacists to do the majority of our prescribing work and medication reviews, 2 physiotherapists, a social prescriber, a mental health link worker, and a Physician Assistant.
