Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. Prepare tenders and quotations. Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors. Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Estimate costs and materials. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Team player. Employment terms options: Shift. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
