Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Commercial. Residential. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Day. Weekend. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
